Egypt Stage (1 generation)
LET MY PEOPLE GO
This is a special scenario.
This can only happen one time.
This is for fun and for a challenge. This does not follow the historic story. No particular set of beliefs is required, just the belief that this makes the challenge interesting!
The Scenario
There are too many Hebrew slaves and Pharaoh is getting nervous. He doesn't want a slave revolt on his hands. He chooses a grisly law. All newborn Hebrew slave baby boys will be killed.
Hebrew Baby Boys (See instructions for the first baby in the next section.)
1. Allow baby or babies to be born and name them.
2. Immediately save. No bonding time first.
3. Age baby boy(s) to toddler and kill toddler. You can do this using the cheat of your choice. (I use boolprop and then spawn Rodney's Death Creator.) The reason for this is I know of no way to kill the babies.
4. You may if you wish have a sim plead for the baby's life.
4a. Baby dies anyway. Sorry, the baby is now dead. Ok to resurrect with genie lamp, just don't cheat to do so.
4b. Baby lives! Exit lot without saving. Load lot back up and you have your baby.
5. This rule will stay in place a very long time!
6. This does not apply to sons of Harlots, even if the father is a Hebrew.
First Hebrew Baby Boy
1. This takes place when there is an Egyptian princess age teen or older who is currently living in Egypt.
2. Once condition under 1 above is fulfilled, the next Hebrew baby boy born is not killed. Name the baby, save and exit the lot. You can name the baby anything you wish, but for this challenge I will refer to the baby as Moses.
2a. If you have a certain family or sim you wish to have the baby you may wait until their next baby boy is born.
3. Enter lot where Egyptian princess lives, preferably the palace the Pharaoh lives in if you have a choice in princesses.
4. Summon the mother and baby to the lot. I have used simblender for this without problems for a long time. You may choose the method you wish.
5. Place a cradle or crib as close to water as possible. If no water on lot, place near edge of lot closest to where a body of water would be.
6. Have mother place Moses in the crib.
7. Move Moses in. This can be done with simblender.
8. Clear off the mother. Can also be done with simblender.
9. Have the princess be the first to discover the baby. If there is a butler or nanny on the lot you may do this right away so they don't discover Moses first. Otherwise you can wait until the baby cries.
10. Princess adopts Moses. If you want to make it official, simblender allows this.
11. Moses is raised in the same way a biological son of an Egyptian princess would be.
12. This does not end the slaughter of the baby boys.
13. Moses needs a wetnurse! If there is no wetnurse currently on the lot(someone to breastfeed the baby) then his biological mother is hired to do so. She moves in until Moses becomes a toddler.
Moses becomes an adult
1. When Moses becomes an adult (not a teen) he witnesses an Egyptian mistreating a Hebrew slave. (If your slaves are well treated make an exception this once.) Moses kills the Egyptian.
2. He moves out of the palace or his current home. He moves in with a Hebrew shepherd. Preferably by simblender or other such method so he does not get $ for moving out and no one has a chance to say goodbye. If he has a wife she and their children move with him.
3. Moses becomes a shepherd as well.
4. If he is not married, marries the shepherd's daughter.
5. Once he becomes an elder the plagues begin.
10 Plagues of Egypt
Moses goes to Pharaoh and asks him to let the Hebrews go. He refuses. (If you want have Moses visit Pharaoh before each plague. Or just let the plagues happen.) Some plagues don't translate well to the game so I changed them. I tried to find interesting replacements. Let each plague finish before going on to the next. If Moses is going to die before the end of the plagues you may give him Elixir of Life. If only Hebrew slaves live on the lot than that lot is exempt from plague unless otherwise noted.
1. Water Into Blood: All water that has been taken into buckets is safe. No more water. Delete all sources of gathering water. No fishing. If you don't want to dry up your ponds you can block them so they can't be fished. Another option is to make them too shallow to fish. Add pools of blood, one for each water bucket, 1 for each water source, and all around any existing ponds. No need to replace if sim mops it up. This lasts for a full sim day and night. After this place a well (that you can gather water from) on each Egyptian lot. If they haven't already done so, all blood must be mopped up at end of plague before placing well on lot.
2. Frogs: Place frogs and toads from au natural pet food. One by the well, one near each sink, one near each tub/shower, and all along any ponds on lot. It will take 3 sim days for frogs to show up. Sims may not spray frogs or clean up dead frogs, and must put up with them until pets or stray pets kill them and eat them. Note that finicky pets will kill frogs but not eat them. Greeted strays will eat them if not finicky. You may go on to the next plague when the first frog is killed by a pet, but still have to put up with frogs until every last one is killed and eaten. You may delete frog spawners after the first frog on the lot is killed by a pet.
3. Bugs: Outdoor garbage cans must be blocked. You may compost trash but may not have more than one compost pile and may not place any new garden plots down during this plague. No disposing of plants just to use up compost. This plague continues until every household in Egypt has cockroaches show up.
4. Lightning Storm: Make a lightning storm using Weathernaught aspiration reward or Wrath of Gods by Simswardrobe.
5. Pestilence: The following Egyptian animals die (Hebrew slave animals safe): horses, cattle, oxen, sheep, goats. Any cars that involve these animals must be deleted. Breeding animals may not be eaten but can be sold if simply killing them is not an option. Cats and dogs that look like these animals must be killed, you can use a cheat. If you have sculptures you are pretending are real animals, those must be deleted.
6. Hail: Use the aspiration weather reward to make it hail.
7. Rain of Fire: Use the aspiration weather reward in green or lower aspiration until you get the rain of fire. (Or Wrath of Gods from Sims Wardrobe)
8. Plague of Locusts: Use Wrath of Gods from Sims Wardrobe. If any sims die you may plead for their life.
9. Darkness: For an entire day and night all lights must be off. If it is an object with light that can't be turned off, delete object.
10. Passover: All Hebrew slaves kill and eat a sheep, goat or cattle. Egyptians may not eat this, so if you have Egyptian guests ask them to leave. The day after this, between 6 and 7 am the eldest son of every Egyptian dies. Use the bat box from More Awesome Than You to smite them. You may plead for their life if you wish. If they have pets or other animals the eldest sons of the animals die too.
Exodus
Pharaoh has had enough and decides to let the Hebrews go. The Egyptians are only too glad to get rid of them.
1. Every Egyptian gives a gift to a Hebrew slave. (It can be anything.)
2. Remember to use the stay put shrub before moving out slaves.
3. All Hebrew slaves leave - unless they no longer have slave status due to marrying an Egyptian. That would make the wife an Egyptian now.
4. Slaves don't get replaced. Egyptian life will change! They can still hire maid, gardener, butler, bartender.
5. For the remainder of the challenge do not create new Hebrew slaves in CAS as directed at the beginning of new eras.
Wandering
1. It will take time before they arrive elsewhere! Until the next era they remain in the simbin. If you really want to play them, set them up in a desert with very little other than what they brought with them.
2. The Hebrews are now your Jewish people.
3. When the next era begins Moses dies. Kill him off in the manner of your choosing when you begin the era, or if you have placed them in a desert, just before moving them to their new home.
Creating sims for the Roman Era will be changed, as the Hebrews will move there and fewer Romans will be created as a result.
